Appointment or Option?

Is Your Workout An Appointment Or An Option?

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is, don’t ask yourself if you feel like working out-treat it like an appointment. Have you ever talked yourself out of a workout with thoughts like these?

I have so many things to get caught up on.
Hmm, should I go?
I’m really tired.
Maybe, I’ll do it later?
It’s really cold outside.
I don’t really feel like it.
I’ll make up for it tomorrow.

The more we ask ourselves questions and rationalize whether or not we should workout, we go from making it a priority to making it an option and once we make it an option it rarely happens. Now I know you’re busy and your life is full of obligations, so have you ever tried scheduling your workout first thing in the morning? By the end of the day, unless your schedule permits, there may be too many reasons not to. I never thought I could get up and workout in the morning, but I got addicted to it. The energy I get from it gets me through the day! Here’s a great list of music to listen to from Oxygen’s Cover Girls to get you going. Music is a tremendous motivator!

Do you treat your workout like an appointment or an option? Can you identify with talking yourself right out of working out?
