Aimee's 45 Day Success

Aimee's general goal was to get to the gym or do at home exercises daily!
I went from not getting to the gym (or exercising at all) for several months, to exercising pretty much 6 days a week faithfully since we started--with the exception of a couple of throw up days. :)
  • The regular exercise was facilitated because of my biggest life change--being brave enough to ask my boss if I could change my work schedule so that I could go to the gym at a time I knew I would stick to.  She didn't even hesitate and it has been the best decision I've made to take care of myself in a LONG time!  Yay, I put myself first for ONCE! :)
  • I have focused more on strength training and have basically lost no weight overall, but have lost inches--1 full inch in my waste, .5 inch in my arms but gained .25 in my thighs thanks to the strength training (I'm trying not to stress over that too much, grrr).  I have been having people ask if I've lost weight even though I haven't, which is due to the inches.
  • I'm better at drinking water, taking breaks from the computer to stretch and moving my body in general.
  • I love seeing all the folks I do at the gym on such a regular basis.
  • I also love seeing so many people stretch out of their comfort zones.
  • Friday night is when I like to let down a little, so I've had to change my habits since it's weigh-in day every Saturday! :)
