Since You Put It That Way

Upset you've only lost 1 pound?
This is what 1 pound of fat looks like!
Be proud of yourself!
This is what 5 pounds of fat vs. 5 pounds of muscle looks like!
Yes they weigh the same, but they are NOT the same size!
Muscle takes up less space in your body, and most importantly is metabolically active,
burning fat from your body even as you are sleeping.
Therefore, you CAN be getting smaller inch-wise and still weigh exactly the same pound-wise,
BUT the more muscle you have, the more fat your body will burn,
so gradually the numbers will start going down on your scale also.
This is what 10 pounds of fat looks like!
For every 10 pounds that you lose, you take 40 pounds of pressure off of your knees.
Are you on a mission to save your knees?
This is what 20 pounds of fat looks like!
Extra fat is bad for your organs as it “smothers” them and causes inflammation.
Extra body fat also increases wear and tear on our joints
and can increase chances of gallstones, diabetes and high blood pressure.
This is what 50 pounds of fat looks like!
Losing excess weight may help improve cardiovascular health, lower high cholesterol, reduce your blood pressure and decrease your chance of being diagnosed with diabetes, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services National Heart Lung and Blood Institute.
A stronger heart means more efficient pumping, oxygenation, and nutrient carrying benefits of the blood, leading to better overall health and wellness. Your bone and joint health may also improve with even small amounts of weight loss, especially for those diagnosed with conditions like arthritis or osteoporosis.
This is what 100 pounds of fat looks like!
100 pounds is the weight of an average 13 year old.
Imagine carrying a 13 year old on your back everyday!
Not only does that sound painful, but exhausting too!
